Rev. Dan Conrad has served Advent Moravian Church as Interim Pastor since January, 2005, and on Sunday, July 31, the Vice Chairman of the Board of Elders announced to the congregation that Rev. Dan had accepted the call to become Advent's Pastor.  The congregation responded to this news with an enthusiastic round of applause and cheers. On August 21, 2005, Rev. Dr. Robert Sawyer, President of the Provincial Elders' Conference officiated at the installation service of Rev. Conrad.

Dan graduated com laude from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1978 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, and from Moravian Theological Seminary in 1982 with a Master of Divinity degree.  He was ordained as a Moravian minister on June 6, 1982 and has since served as pastor of the Community Fellowship congregation, the Mt.Bethel congregation, and as director of Laurel Ridge, our Province's camp, conference and retreat center.  Most recently, he served as pastor of the Good Shepherd congregation.

The Advent congregation welcomes Dan and his wife, Jonetta, as members by letter of transfer from Good Shepherd Moravian Church in Kernersville, NC.
